Retired academic now artist (carving painting rather seriously). Reclusive, quiet but very happy to be among others as the occasion demands. I play an odd instrument or two and I like to sing. I am passionate about growing heritage and rare seeds. Am trying to figure out how I can get a walipini in my yard without uprooting a beautiful maple. I live in a small town and own an overly large home with a shop in the basement. I read voraciously, keep up with news as best I can, and keep track of my kids and their families;they are all over the USA. I ask lots of questions as I want to know you well.

Being on the water--I have never sailed and I did own a 26 foot power boat and hated the noise; I love being on the ocean or other larger bodies of water. I seem to need it; it replenishes my soul at some level.

A fellow Buddhist. I have been a Buddhist since I was 9 yo. A man about my age with talents he likes to use, intelligent, sensitive and thoughtful. Great sense of humor is a wonderful asset; I find many, many life efforts amusing. If he has kids and animals that is a good thing. I hope he likes to bike, hike, walk daily, swim, etc. i do try to keep my self in balance, eating sparingly and exercising daily.
